Walden Pond In Winter

Took a nice walk at Walden Pond the day of New Year's Eve. Temperatures pushing 40, with no wind, resulting in a nice glassy surface. I unilaterally declared Walden a Trump-free zone, but I don't imagine I'd get much push-back on that in the proudly liberal suburb of Concord, where Walden is located. It was Emerson who said that in nature we are returned to reason and faith. These qualities are sorely needed in this maddening time of our Tweeter-In-Chief, the poor man's Mussolini.
