Compared to Robert Janz, Banksy is an opportunistic, capitalist fraud. Actually, Banksy might take that as a compliment, so, never mind. One thing is clear, though. Robert's commitment to street art as a noncommercial venture is awe inspiring. Truly, I've met few people who authentically embrace the Buddhist truth of impermanence as fully as Robert does, both personally and aesthetically. When your work is impermanent, photography becomes the main way to document it. The photographer Daniel Albanese -- AKA, the Dusty Rebel -- does amazing work celebrating and cataloging the work of hundreds of mostly NYC-based street artists, Robert included.
