Burkhardt Still Lifes

Burkhardt actually collaborated with the great Joseph Cornell on some films, which makes sense, since they share a sense of funky elegance and left-field gravitas. The image on top is so cool. There is something in that gouge in the wall, but I can't tell what. The scattered matches demonstrate the distance we've come from fruit and flowers arranged just so.
