The Weight of the World

How could it feel so heavy

When so many of us

Carry the weight of the world

Upon our shoulders

Is it that the weight

Is beyond comprehension 

Or simply that we refuse

Out of ignorance or 

Maybe out of stubbornness 

Simply to share the burden
