Just returned from a few days in Provincetown. A two and a half hour drive from Boston, but a zillion miles away temperamentally. We missed the giant Helen Frankenthaler show at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum, but did catch a terrific show of three superb artists who flourished for a good part of the 20thcentury. I like to just photograph details instead of a whole work when shooting at a museum. They just look better, and it better approximates the experience of looking at a painting from close up.
