List Songs, #5: A Hard Rain's a Gonna Fall

Okay, the Coltrane post from a couple weeks ago was fun, but the time for fooling around is over. Now it's time for the heaviest and most epic of all list songs. Bob goes fully Old Testament on us here, channeling a mash up of the prophetic mode of Isaiah and the mystical mode of Ecclesiastes. Patti Smith sang it at the Nobel Prize ceremony Bob took a rain check on. One might say it's especially relevant now, but one would be mistaken. It's always been relevant, and maybe always will be.
