Frequently when someone wants to sound worldly, they say, "Man plans, and God laughs." What? Do you mean, that God, who is omniscient and omnipotent, can see a mistaken direction someone is heading, but instead of of providing guidance, throws an existential banana peel in their path? Just for grins? That makes God a jerk.
